Abstract

494,914. Hose reels. SCOFFIN & WILLMOTT, Ltd., and NARRACOTT, R. KENDALL-. June 17, 1937, No. 16925. [Class 99 (ii)] A support for hose reels comprises side members 3, the axle 9 of the reel being mounted on the support at a distance from the base slightly greater than the radius of the reel, the axle lying, when the base is on the ground, slightly behind the rounded front 10 of the base, so that the reel may be lowered on to its rims by a slight forward movement of the upwardly extending handle 4. The support may comprise L-shaped bars joined by a yoke 5 and braced by members 7, 8.
