Abstract
871,906. Pressure-responsive switches. MINNEAPOLIS-HONEYWELL REGULATOR CO. March 17, 1959 [March 27, 1958], No. 9222/59. Class 38 (5). The diaphragm 21 of the switch actuates a push-rod 36 guided in a member 30 having an adjustable stop 38 to prevent excessive movement of the diaphragm. An adjusting-nut 32 varies the spring pressure on the diaphragm to adjust the operating temperature, which can be initially adjusted by rotating bolt 40. The differential is controlled by a screw 50. The switch has a snap-action. The pressure-fluid is connected via a tube 25 and may be that generated by a thermally-responsive capsule or may be the low-pressure existing in the suction side of a refrigerating system.
