[Also in Group XIII] In a boiler, a vertical combustion chamber 10 having a fuel injector or burner at 11 and a combustion products outlet at 26 is surrounded by a water jacket 13, 14, 15, 18, 19 swept by the combustion products as they pass to the chimney 46, the assembly being mounted within a casing 32 in which air for combustion is heated. The parts 13, 14, 15 and 18, 19 of the water jacket are connected only by flow and return pipes 20, 21 and 24, 25. An incinerator chamber 40, Fig. 6, to which combustion products are admitted through a damper-controlled opening 42 may have an electric fan for assisting combustion.
