Abstract

869,810. Two-part couplings. BROOKHIRST SWITCHGEAR Ltd. Nov. 3, 1959 (Dec. 13, 1958], No. 40251/58. Class 38 (1). An electrical connector comprises a plurality of independently movable laminations 13 forming two fingers 11, 12, which are urged together to grip a contact, e.g. a bus-bar, by spring rods 18 trapped between lugs 19, 20 on each lamination 13 and bearing against an insulated pin 21. Each lamination has a heel 17 which pivots on a plug block 10. The laminations 13 lie between two cheeks 14 from which they are separated by insulation 16. The springs may be reversed to act outwardly on the laminations and provide a plug for entry into a socket.
