Abstract

A component 3 is mounted on a panel P by means of a frame 1 arranged around an insulating element 2 having projections 7 and recesses for interconnecting cables, each projection carrying metal plates 6 each having a terminal 14 for connection to one of the cables and means for connection to a contact of the component. The latter means may enable a bolted connection to be made, as shown in Fig. 1, or may comprise rocking contacts 5, Fig. 7 (not shown), urged by a compression spring 12 to engage a rigid plug contact 4 of the component 3<SP>1</SP>. Fins 7<SP>1</SP> extend upwardly on either side of the contacts 5, and a member 10 separates the contacts of adjacent pairs and clamps the plates 6 to the element 2.
