868,222. Feeding sheets. GERICKE, E. May 6, 1959 [Oct. 29, 1958], No. 15514/59. Class 100(1) In a printing or like machine wherein a sheet can be registered on a feed-board at either side edge by the use of opposed draw-rails 4, 9 which are reciprocated towards and away from each other, one rail 4 is secured to the draw-bar 3 which is reciprocated axially of the machine frame 11 by a face cam 1 which acts on an arm 2 secured to the bar 3, and the arm 2 engages the bottom edge of a rocker 5 coupled to the other rail 9 which is slidably mounted on the bar 3. The rocker 5 is U-shaped, and pivoted at 6 for rocking motion in a fixed bracket 7, and the opposed upper ends carry pins 5a engaging a slider 8 secured to the rail 9. The rails 4, 9 are urged apart by a compression spring 12 which serves to maintain the arm 2 in contact with the cam 1 and the rocker 5 in contact with the arm 2.
