Abstract

1428613 Feeding and delivering sheets MILLER PRINTING MACHINERY CO 25 Feb 1974 [1 March 1973] 8396/74 Heading B8R [Also in Division F2] A sheet feed and delivery roller (16), Fig. 1 (not shown) mounted on a shaft 14 is oscillated for feeding sheets to, and delivering them from a printing press by drive means including a rack support 56 held between, and reciprocated by two cams 42, 46 mounted on a shaft 32 which may be driven in timed relationship with the press via a gear wheel 30, the rack support 56 having cam followers 92, 102 mounted thereon, for co-operation with said cams to reciprocate the support, whereby a rack 74 attached to the support oscillates the shaft 14 via a pinion gear 26. The rack support 56 is slidably mounted on a block 68 through which the shaft 32 passes. Cam follower 92 is resiliently biased against cam 42 by a thumb screw 112, spring 120 and pivotable arm 84 arrangement. A sheet feed table (20) and dropping roller (18) are also provided.
