Abstract

595,393. Printing. FORD, F. R. Aug. 25, 1945, No. 21849. [Classes 100 (i) and 100 (ii)] - Copying documents: sheet feed-tables.-A rotary duplicator of the type comprising a cylinder 12 carrying a mirror-script original and co-operating with an impression roller 13, is provided with a feed-tray 15 connected to a stationary part of the machine by two pairs of links 21, 22, adapted to swing about laterally spaced axes disposed parallel to the cylinder 12 so that the tray can be moved to an inoperative position above the machine. The copy sheets are moistened by a pad 16 supplied from a tank 17 provided with flanges 18 engaging grooves in the machine-frame and secured in position by a screw 19. The links 21, 22, are connected to metal strips 20 secured to opposite sides of the tank 17 and are so proportioned that the tray moves clear of all projections above the side members 10 of the machine and is substantially horizontal in the out-of-use position The rear edge of the tray is bevelled at 25, and a projection 26 rests on top of the tank in the normal position in which the tray is horizontal or inclined downwardly, the height of the front edge of the tray being determined by spurs 27 on the links 21 engaging stop pins 28 on the strips 20. The tray 15 is made of glass mounted in a channel-section frame 23 to which are secured side members 24 of angle section. Specifications 564,618 and 570,800 are referred to.
