A rotary duplicating machine for printing from a master sheet 3, Fig. 1, mounted on a printing drum 1 on to copy sheets 15 to be printed by a counter-pressure roller 4, comprises a stripper 9 mounted in a traverse 70, which is pivotally mounted on a shaft 23, the stripper having tongues 8, co - operating with grooves 10 in the printing drum 1. The copy sheet 15 is advanced by a feed shaft 12 and feed roller 13 and moistened by a moistening mechanism 14 and after the leading edge of sheet has passed the printing line A-B the tongues 8 deflect the leading edge into engagement with guide rollers 18 driven synchronously with the drum 1 by the counter-pressure roller 4 through gears 16 and 17, the sheet then passing over deviating wires 19 into conveyer belts 20, which in conjunction with pressure rollers 32, Fig. 2, feeds the sheet to a delivery station. After the leading edge of the sheet 15 has passed over the tongues 8 of the stripper 9 a cam 24 fast with the drum 1 and co-operating with a cam follower 25 on an arm 27 swings the stripper 9 into the position shown in dash-dotted lines in Fig. 1, whereupon the tongues are lifted out of the grooves 10. When during the printing cycle a further cam 34, Fig. 2, raises an arm 37, co-operating therewith, the moistening mechanism is lifted and an associated linkage lowers the pressure rollers 32 into engagement with the sheet conveyer belts 20.
