Abstract

860,026. Valves. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. Aug. 21, 1957 [Oct. 18, 1956], No. 26463/57. Addition to 846,271. Class 135. The valve according to the parent Specification (see particularly the embodiment of Fig. 7) is improved in that the bottom portion 12, 15 of the resilient cup-shaped valve member constitutes a piston-like part which bears on the inner wall surface of the housing, and fluid pressure from the inlet 4 can pass through the wall of the cup above the part 12, this wall being formed, e.g. by a number of circularly spaced resilient lamellµ 16, so as to act on a shoulder 26 of the valve member to facilitate actuation of the valve. The previous vent ports are replaced by an annular vent chamber 7, and an outlet from this chamber is closed by a separate resilient non-return valve sleeve 9.
