Abstract

854,772. Migratory transfer processes. KODAK Ltd. May 8, 1959 [May 9, 1958], No. 14901/58. Class 98(2) In a silver salt diffusion process the transfer of silver halide from unexposed areas of the emulsion layer to the image-receiving layer is carried out in the presence of a silver halide solvent and either 1-amino-1; 3; 4-triazole-5- thiol or 1;3;4-thiadiazole-2;5-dithiol. The thiol compound may be present in the solution used to effect development or it may be incorporated into the image-receiving layer. In the examples, an image-receiving sheet comprises paper coated with gelatin, sodium thiosulphate, titanium dioxide, colloidal silver sulphide and either of the above thiols.
