Abstract

853,448. Pyrotechnic devices. PAIN & SONS Ltd, J. June 23,1959 [Aug. 8, 1958], No. 25470/58. Class 9(2). A signal rocket firing tube T, which is held in the hand, is provided with a compression spring S and a flat disc W at it's closed end, against which the rear extremity of the rocket R rests before firing. The fuze f terminates on the flat head of the rocket in a patch of igniting material, which is exposable by pulling a tape t and ignitable by a striker s. The striker is secured by a detachable gummed strip g to a card c, which is attached to the rocket by another gummed strip g, and the ignition end of the striker is protected from damp by a detachable wrapping w. Specification 831,479 is referred to.
