Abstract

1,263,164. Firing devices for incendiary and signal cartridges. H. KLOSTERMANN [trading as RICHARD RINKER]. 4 July, 1969 [8 July, 1968], No. 33752/69. Heading F3A. A device for firing incendiary and signal cartridges comprises a housing 2, means 11 for holding a cartridge 12 and a separate primer 7, a striker 3, a trigger assembly 15, 18 pivoted on the housing, a pawl 17 engaging the striker such that when the trigger is pulled, the striker is moved to compress a spring 4 and is thereafter released to fire the primer, and a hand grip 19 pivoted on the housing, with means to secure the grip either in a folded position where it guards the trigger, or in an extended position to enable the device to be aimed and fired. The securing means comprises a spring loaded stop located in a passage 20. The primer 7 is located in a holder 9 for a propellant charge 8. Both the holder 9 and the cartridge 12 are held on the means 11 by screw-threading.
