Abstract

852,186. Tower cranes. INSTITUT FUR FORDERTECHNIK DES MINISTERIUMS FUR SCHWERMASCHINENBAU. Jan. 7, 1957, No. 590/57. Class 78 (4). The back stays 13, which serve to erect a tower crane, are subject to a tension proportional to the load on the crane. As illustrated the tension is applied by a luffing rope 4, dead ended at 12, and passing over pulleys 11 on a sliding yoke 7 and under a pulley on a slide 10, and operating a block 3 connected by a line 2 to points 1 on the jib.
