Abstract

1,106,325. Ship's devices. H. C. STœLCKEN SOHN. 12 Jan., 1967 [20 Jan., 1966], No. 1677/67. Addition to 1,050,225. Heading B8B. The ship's device described with reference to Fig. 7 of the parent Specification which has two blocks 17 at the head of the boom 3, is modified to increase the hoisting speed with light loads by detaching one of the moving hoist blocks 25 from the load hook 26 and connecting it to a fixed point on the jib foot 27. This provides double the hook speed without any reversing of the hoist rope.
