In a rotary compressor or motor of the intermeshing screw-type consisting of two stages arranged in series on common shafting in a common casing, (see Fig. 1, not shown), the rotors of the high- and low-pressure stages are shaped as shown in Figs. 3 and 4 respectively. For design details the Specification should be referred to.
