Abstract
877,079. Rotary compressors and motors. SVENSKA ROTOR MASKINER A.B. March 3, 1960 [March 6, 1959], No. 7556/60. Class 110(2). In a rotary compressor or motor of the intermeshing screw type comprising two stages 28, 30 arranged in series, the rotors 18, 20, 22, 24 are journalled in the end walls of the casing and in an intermediate wall 26 thereof, aligned screws being interconnected by bolts 44 and carrying phasing gears 48, 50 if so desired. The driven screws may be formed as an integral construction or be mounted as separate spaced units, see Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown). Again, the high-pressure stages may be mounted on the shafts of the low-pressure voltages, see Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), and the intermediate wall may be formed as a separate component, see Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown). The intermediate wall may be divided into halves and may, together with the stage 28, be fed with a lubricating and sealing liquid as through nozzles 70, 72.
