Abstract
846,237. Gas burners. NASSHEUER, J., NASSHEUER, A., and HOPFNER, M., [trading as NASSHEUER, INDUSTRIEOFENBAU UND ELEKTROTECHNIK, J.]. Feb. 13, 1959 [Feb. 13. 1958], No. 5160/59. Class 75(1). A gas burner comprises a gas supply pipe 9 opening into a combustion nozzle 3 disposed at the head of an air supply pipe 7 and inserted into a flame tube 2 disposed within a jacket 1, the nozzle being made of heat resistant metal and having at least one machined cylindrical outer surface 12 conforming to the inner cylindrical surface of the flame tube 2. The free end 5 of the nozzle is also machined to conform to the inner surface of the flame tube and the other end 8 of the nozzle is machined to form an inner surface which conforms to the outer surface of the air supply pipe 7. Axial or sloped ribs 11 are formed on the inner surface of the nozzle. The end of the flame tube 2 may be completely open or closed and provided with a small aperture. The cylindrical wall of the flame tube has apertures.
