Abstract

1,205,897. Burners. AMERICAN GAS ASSOCIATION Inc. 29 Feb., 1968 [1 March, 1967], No. 9792/68. Heading F4T. A gaseous fuel burner comprises a conduit 10 having a closed end 12 and an open end (14) and apertures 24, 25 (26) in the sidewall for the entry of air under the influence of a blower, the apertures having vanes, which may be simple tabs, to cause rotation of the air in the conduit and a gaseous fuel inlet nozzle 16 directed transverse to the conduit longitudinal axis to cause the gas to flow in the same sense as the air. A pilot burner 20 provides an ignition source and a flame 70 is produced in the form of a hollow cylinder.
