834,521. Sewing machines. CELLULAR CLOTHING CO. Ltd., and FROST, A. S. June 6, 1956 [April 29, 1955], No. 12372/55. Class 112 In a flat lock seaming machine, i.e. a sewing machine which is provided with a work arm and in which a seam is formed by four needles co-operating with four threaded loopers, a surface thread also being incorporated in the seam, the work arm is provided with at least two guides for the looper threads, said guides being located between the feed of the threads to the arm and the loopers. As shown, a guide 10 for the looper threads 3 is located on the work arm 4 adjacent the loopers, and a guide 6 which, it is stated, may be applied to existing machines, is secured to the arm by a screw 8 approximately one-sixth of the distance from guide 10 to the feed of the threads to the arm.
