Abstract

828,098. Agricultural implements. NORMAN, R. G. May 23, 1958 [Feb. 26, 1957], No. 6362/57. Class 6(1). A cultivating machine comprises digging blades 14a mounted on arms 13 the digging assembly being situated between disc coulters 16 each mounted co-axial with a supporting wheel 11. As shown the wheels 11 are ribbed and are mounted on the inner surface of the disc coulters 16, The disc coulters 16 are mounted oblique to the vertical so as to be nearer together below their axes of rotation than above. A fixed baffle or scraping means may be provided to remove earth from the blades. The wheels 11 and the digging means are driven by a motor 10 arranged to balance the weight of the machine when it is working.
