[Also in Group XXVIII] A gas turbine is supplied with motive gas substantially free from impurities harmful to the turbine by a pressure exchanger which feeds gas to a combustion chamber which in one embodiment feeds combustion products to a gas cleaner, in the form of a cyclone separator, which passes clean gas to the turbine and polluted gas to the pressure exchanger. In another embodiment the combustion products pass through the hot pass of a heat exchanger while clean gas from the pressure exchanger passes through the cold pass to the turbine. The heat exchanger and combustion chamber may be structurally combined. Further heat exchangers may be provided to heat the gas to the combustion chamber by the exhaust gases from the turbine and pressure exchanger.
