Abstract
708,646. Gas turbines. POWER JETS (RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT), Ltd. June 11, 1952 [June J5, 1951]. No 14299/51. Class 110(3) Heat rejected in a cooler 10, supplied by the exhaust gases from a turbine 1. is used to raise the temperature of a gas stream which is passed through a duct 11 and mixed with the main stream at 12. The turbine exhaust, which may be further cooled at 5 is passed through a compressor 3 and expelled at 9 at approximately atmospheric pressure. The supply 11A, to the cooler 10, may be from the atmosphere or from the compressor ex- . haust or before the exhaust. An industrial plant may supply the source 2. A fan may. force gas through the supply 11A. The cooler 5 may be of a normal type. a boiler, or part of an industrial plant.
