824,387. Container closures. GOTH, I. Jan. 2, 1958 [Jan. 18, 1957], No. 1960/57. Class 125(3). A combined pourer and closure device has a pouring member 4 with an annular ledge 5 engaging a recess 3 in the bottle neck 1 and a stopper member connected by a hinge 9 to member 4 and having a plug 10 to make liquid-tight contact with neck 1. The plug 10 may have annular ribs 18 and annular grooves 19 reduce the amount of material in the device. A sealing capsule 23, Fig. 9, having spaces for the hinge 9 and lug 7 has perforated or precut tracks 25 and a tear strip 24 or 24a, Fig. 11, or 24b, Fig. 12. In a modification, Fig. 16, the member 4d has a cylindrical portion 29a entering the container neck and closed by a wall 31 having a liquid passing orifice 32 and an air passage 33. A stopper member 10 closes the pouring member. In another modification, Fig. 17, stoppers 34, 35 closes passages 32, 33. Specifications 757,599 and 792,301 are referred to.
