820,872. Knitting. ANDERSEN, B. L., ANDERSEN, K. L., and LIE, B. Dec. 12, 1956 [Jan. 24, 1956], No. 37952/56. Class 74 (2). A two-bed machine in which one bed is at an angle to the other, for example, a cylinder and dial machine, has guides which feed one yarn 3 to all of the needles of both beds, a second yarn 5 to the needles of one bed only, and a third yarn 8 to the needles of the other bed only so as to produce a two-ply fabric, each ply being composed of a separate yarn and interconnected with the other ply by long loops of the yarn fed to the needles of both beds. A cutter severs these long loops so that the machine produces two fabrics each having a surface of cut pile.
