Abstract
A lead base alloy, suitable for extrusion to form cable sheaths, which has a high resistance to fatigue at elevated temperatures (up to 100 DEG C.) has the following composition in percentages by weight: Sb 0.1 to 1.0, As 0.01 to 0.05. Pb and impurities the balance, 0.005 to 0.10 per cent of Te may also be added. The alloy is extruded at temperatures of up to 275 DEG C. and after cold working may be annealed at temperatures of up to 250 DEG C.
