Abstract

816,545. Ropes. HOLM, C. J. Sept. 28, 1956, No. 29767/56. Class 109 Strands from rotating bobbins 5 are passed to a twisting head 12 rotating slower than the bobbins 5 and the rope thus formed is hauled rectilinearly by a pulley device before being wound on a rotating drum 14. The machine is preferably as disclosed in Specification 659,741 and the hauling device may be as disclosed in Specification 702,807 or, alternatively, may comprise a set of pulleys having protduding ribs associated with a set of pulleys having circumferential grooves, the rope passing between the sets of pulleys.
