Abstract

A rope, cord, cable or hawser is made of filaments of a polypropylene having a degree of crystallinity of from 60-98%. The rope may be produced by taking at least three strands produced by twisting together a plurality of filaments in one direction and twisting the strands together in the opposite direction. A plurality of such ropes may be twisted together.
