560,868. Ropes. WHITECROSS CO., Ltd.. and WHITE, E. H. Sept. 18, 1942, No. 13201. [Class 109] A wire rope comprising a core a laid in one direction and a covering layer e laid in the opposite direction has an intermediate layer f laid in the same direction as the cover e. The core may have extra twist put into it as described in Specification 354,329 and the layer f and the core may be of full-lock or half-lock construction or the strands thereof may be of segmental or circular section. The layer e is of full-lock construction. Specifications 388,788 and 493,077 also are referred to.
