[Also in Groups XXV and XXXVI] Rope, cord, string or line is produced by braiding together strands having a low degree of twist and with inner and outer layers formed with opposite directions of twist, some of the strands having outer layers of twist in one direction and other strands oppositely formed. Preferably six strands are braided round a central core, the strands being composed of yarns of synthetic fibres.
