[Class 109] A driving rope has a core 6 formed of ends, threads, strands or the like, laid together without twisting, and a cover 7 of yarns, threads or strands treated with rubber, latex, balata, artificial rubber or like friction material. The core may be in the form of an untwisted nylon monofilament. The cover 7 may be braided or composed of helicallylaid threads or cords. To form an endless rope, the ends of the cover may be joined together by adhesive, vulcanisation or stitching.
