A steam actuated liquid, e.g. a petroleum product inducer having a discharge cap t serving to atomize the liquid comprises a body k having a lateral steam inlet b leading to an annular chamber f and an annular ring of bores i to a ring of jet-forming bores o and a chamber f into which the liquid is drawn from an inlet a through an axial needlevalve controlled conduit m ; the length of the cylindrical bore g in the discharge cap t is at least three times its diameter. The combined atomized jets so formed is surrounded by an annular jet of superheated steam forced through a lateral duct c, an annular chamber h and an annular slot n.
