Abstract
809,825. Agricultural implements. TEAGLE, W. T. Aug. 30, 1956 [May 31, 1955], No. 15629/55. Class 6(1). Apparatus for attaching a number of seed sowing machines to a tractor comprises two horizontal slotted bars 1 connected to two upright bars 2 and provided with a yoke 3 for attachment to tractor three point linkage 4. Figs. 5 each provided with a wheel 6 are adjustably mounted on the bars 2. Seed sowing machines are each provided with two forwardly extending members which engage in sockets 12 in a frame 10 which is bolted to the bars 1 and is transversely adjustable thereon. The seed sowing machines may each comprise a rimless spoked wheel which contacts the ground and drives a rotary agitator which feeds seeds through an outlet formed by the perforations in an adjustable plate. A drill coulter is provided together with a roller at the rear of the machine. Alternatively planting machines may be coupled to the apparatus each machine being provided with a seat for an operator and a tray for plants which are placed in position by hand.
