A windscreen wiper arm assembly, Fig. 1, comprises a wiper blade arm 23 mounted on a drive shaft 24 for oscilation therewith and pivotal movement such that the wiper blade 22 can remain substantially normal to the surface of a curved windscreen 20 throughout the oscilation of the shaft 24, co-operative arm members 35, 49, 50, Fig. 4, extending radially with respect to the shaft 24 and a weather shield 47 fixed to the arm 23 and surrounding the shaft 24 to protect the cam members. The wiper arm 23, Fig. 1, comprises an outer section 28 connected to the wiper blade 22 and pivoted by a pin 30 to an inner section 29 pivotal by a pin 48 to a member 43 secured to the shaft 24. The section 29 is formed with ears 45, 46 to receive the pivot pin 48, and the shield in the form of a skirt portion 47. As shown in Figs. 4 and 7 the skirt 47 is provided with two diametral cam followers 49, 50 which engage the cam 35 having three lobes 37, 38, 39. The cam is secured by a nut 36 to a housing 25 for the shaft 24. As the wiper arm 23 is oscillated over the frontal portion, mid-portion and rearwardly extending side portion of the " wrap around " windscreen 20, the section 29 and thus the arm 23 is rocked about the pin 48 by engagement of the followers 49, 50 with the cam 35 so that the blade 22 is maintained substantially normal to the surface of the windscreen.
