Abstract
803,108. Twist tubes. SEEM, W. A., STODDARD, N. J., TECCE, F., and BERGER, H. P., [trading as PERMATWIST CO.]. Jan. 4, 1955 [Jan. 4, 1954], No. 5361/57. Divided out of 803,106. Class 120(2) A false - twist tube is mounted in bearings supported bY resilient members in a housing surrounding the lower end of the tube and carries a flanged disc that extends across the open upper end of the housing. The tube 2 consists of two sections, one fitting within the other and the upper being of greater diameter. The lower section is carried in bearings 76, 77 mounted in rubber cushioning annuli 84 held in the housing 78, itself supported in a swing arm 79 by rubber washers 101, 103. The disc 105 with its overhanging flange protects the casing 78 against ingress of dirt or lint. Yarn passing through the tube is given a turn round a small flanged roll 82 freely rotatable within the top end of the tube. Specifications 424,880, 442,073, 803,107 and 803,110 are referred to.
