Abstract

799,893. Brackets. BAGLOW, D. V. June 28, 1956 [March 31, 1955], No. 9348/55. Class 52(5) Adjustable pivotally connected spring- counterpoised bracket arms 8, 9 carrying a lamp 11 or other article are mounted on a fixed support 1 on a pivot pin 21 eccentrically positioned in a pair of spaced discs 7 journalled in upstanding lugs 5. As shown the discs are integral with the short lower links 20 of a parallelogrammic linkwork and the lower end of the bracket arm 8 carries circular cams 22 against the lower edges of which a plate 28 is thrust by a compression spring 23 housed in the support 1. In a modification the discs 7 may be carried by the arm 8 and the cams 22 fixed to the links 20 or the compression spring may be replaced by a tension spring and the cams omitted.
