Abstract

807,410. Brackets. METALS Ltd. April 4, 1957 April 4, 1956, No. 10224/56. Class 52(5) A bracket for shelves &c. comprises an arm and an interconnected strut each formed of two resilient rails 1, 2 and 5, 6 having inturned ends 4, 8 sprung into apertures in a standard 9. Inclined shanks 7 of the rails 5, 6 are rigidly secured to the rails 1, 2 which are joined by a bridge 3. In modifications the rails forming the strut are joined by a bridge or, as shown in Fig. 5 are pivotally mounted in an attachment plate 11 secured to the arm so that the arm can be inclined relatively to the standard. According to the Provisional Specification the arm and the strut are parallel and connected by a link, or are telescopic to vary the inclination of the arm or the bracket comprises an elbow piece having: one pair of diverging arms of circular oval or other crosssection the free ends of which are pressed towards each other for introduction into vertically spaced apertures in the standard.
