Abstract

637,550. Adjustable brackets. HORSTMANN, F. G. Q., and HADRILL, G. T. C. Sept. 3, 1947, No. 24291. [Class 52 (v)] In an adjustable bracket having a support 12 carrying a pivoted arm consisting of two spaced parallelogrammic linkage systems 13, 14, and wherein the forward short links are extended to carry a lamp 17 or other article, the rear short links of both systems are constituted by a single counterbalance weight 18. The arm 16 has a U-shaped clip 23 transversely pivoted on a bolt 24 between friction washers 25, Fig. 3, and embracing a rearwardly projecting pivot pin 22 on the lamp fitting 21. A rubber spacer block 26 is mounted between the ends of the clip.
