Abstract
610,119. Brackets. TRANSRECEIVERS, Ltd., and HERMES, L. W. March 26,1946, No. 9381. [Class 52 (v] [Also in Groups XIX and XL(c)] A mounting bracket for an instrument, such as a radio receiver, comprises a base adapted to be fixed to a wall, and two parallel supporting arms, rigid with the base at one end, and having means for attaching them to the casing of the instrument at their other ends, the arms being constructed so as to permit movement away from or towards the wall, and parallel with the wall. As shown, two inwardly flanged steel strips 5 are secured to the end flanges 3 of the base plate 1. An outwardly flanged link 8 is secured to each arm 5 through a sliding and pivoting joint comprising a wing nut 16, metal washer 17 and coach bolt 15 passing through a slot 7 in the arms 5. End pieces 10, provided with screws 12 to attach the instrument and vibration damping strips 25, are pivotally connected to the links 8 by wing nuts 21, metal washers 22 and bolts 20. Leather or fibre washers are provided between the metallic surfaces at each pivot, and strips of resilient material may be provided on the insides of the arms 5.
