631,480. Lamp-stands. WALLER, F. E. March 28, 1947, No. 8539. [Classes 52 (iii) and 52 (v)] [Also in Group XXX] An adjustable lamp-stand bracket has an arm 3 articulated at one end by a friction joint 5 to a support 2, the other end supporting and being articulated by a friction joint 10 to an arm 11, which supports a lamp holder 16 and is provided with a slidably adjustable counterbalancing weight 13, which is securable in any adjusted position as by a screw 14, the arm 3 and its load being counterbalanced by a tension spring 6, the tension of which is adjustable as by a screw and nut device 7, 9, and each of the friction joints 5, 10 is adjustable as by a wing nut 19 and screw means. The support or standard 2 is rotatably mounted on a base 1.
