Abstract

625,718. Pedestal stands. CORNERCROFT, Ltd., and RYCROFT, N. June 9, 1947, No. 15094. [Class 52 (iii)] In an adjustable standard lamp with spring counterbalancing means the standard 10 is stabilised by a spring 21 and cam lever 20 co-acting with a pin 23 in the standard. The arm 24 is stabilised by spring 29 secured, by a pivoted link 28, to a fitting 26, pivoted to the standard at 25, on which fitting the arm 24 can be telescopically adjusted by a screw 31 for balancing the lamp assembly 32 as set forth in Specification 609,895. The standard 10 is transversely pivoted on a rotatable stud 15 carried by the base and the transverse pivot is fitted with spring-pressed friction washers. Specification 537,194 also is referred to.
