Abstract

692,276. Hinges. PERESS, J. S., and WOLSEY, W. Oct. 22, 1951 [Dec. 27, 1950], No. 31436/50. Class 65 (ii) A lavatory seat 3 is pivotally mounted on a hinge pin 5 supported at each end by a member of the kind which has a slot for receiving in adjustable position the headed end of a fixing bolt 10, the member comprising an L- shaped bracket having a vertical arm 7 apertured to receive the adjacent end of the hinge pin, a horizontal arm 8 formed with a slot for the bolt, the head 11 of which overlies the edges of the slot, and a cover member 13 having recesses 14 and 15 to receive the arms of the bracket. The horizontal arm is formed with lateral projections which engage recesses in the cover member to hold the latter in position.
