Abstract

618,344. Adjustable brackets. IMPROVED DESIGNS, Ltd., BELLOW, E. A., and READ, H. L. Oct. 22, 1947, No. 31355/46. [Class 52 (v)] A pivotally-mounted fork 10 carries a transverse pivot 22 on which the arms 18 of a support for a lamp or other article can be angularly adjusted, the lamp being carried by an arm 32 pivoted to the support 18 and to a controlling arm 19 which has a slotted lower end mounted in the fork and longitudinally displaceable in relation thereto under the control of friction washers 28. The lamp preferably has a universal mounting 42 on the arm 32.
