Abstract
696,429. Brackets. KARMO DEVELOPMENTS (BIRMINGHAM), Ltd. July 16. 1951 [Aug. 29, 1950], No. 21311/50. Class 52(v) [Also in Group XXXII] Means for mounting an anti-glare screen on a road vehicle comprises the combination of an-attachment plate adapted to be secured to the vehicle, an arm having one end secured to the said plate by a ball joint, a second arm pivotally attached at one end to the other end of the first arm, a lug pivotally attached to the other end of the second arm, a third arm having one end inserted through and carried by the lug and a screen attachment piece carried by the third arm and adapted for attachment to one edge of the screen. The screen m is provided with a metal reinforcement n for attachment to a member k pivotally attached to an arm j. This arm carries a lug i pivotally connected by a bolt h to an intermediate arm b, in turn connected at g to a further arm a, cranked at one end and formed with a ball c for attachment to a mounting bracket e. By this arrangement the screen may be swung vertically about the axis of the arm j or it may be swung laterally by virtue of the pivoted connections c, g and h. The member k may be fast with the arm j which would then be separate from, are pivotally mounted in, the lug i.
