Abstract

799,598. Two-part couplings; plug-boards. AMP., Inc. Nov. 23, 1954 [Dec. 29, 1953], No. 33918/54. Class 38 (1). A pin-connector 1 of tapered form is bent-up from sheet metal and has an integral ferrule portion 2 for crimping on to a wire and an intermediate band 2a for engagement by a tool for driving the pin into a tapered socket 5 or eyelet. Fig. 2 shows a tapered pin 10 of blade form which co-operates with a socket 12 shaped as shown. Flexible cylindrical sockets 17 for receiving tapered pins are shown in Fig. 4 mounted in an insulating block. Specification 715,074 is referred to.
