924,920. Jointing by stamping. AMP Inc. Nov. 27, 1961 [Dec. 20, 1960], No. 42308/61. Class 83 (4). [Also in Group XXXVI] A die set for crimping metal parts to form an electrical connector on a cable (see Group XXXVI) comprises a pair of dies 34 and 36 and a pair of indentors 38 and 40. The indentors are designed to pass through coextensive apertures in two ferrules surrounding the cable, to operate on a central ferrule crimping it to the cable conductor, while the dies 34, 36 crimp an outer ferrule to the cable braid and outer cover respectively.
