Oct. 5,1956 [Oct. 7, 1955], No. 30367/56: Class 68(2) A method of producing a concrete pile comprises driving into the ground a shaft 61 provided with a shoe 62, open at the top and of greater cross-section than the shaft, forcing liquid cement or concrete under pressure from the lower part of the shaft, or if the shaft is solid from a pipe outside the shaft, through the hollow shoe 62 into the space 71, sealing the space 71, as the driving-in is completed, with a bell 70 and thereafter forcing in the cement or concrete at increased pressure. A chisel 63 is set in the shoe with its point projecting below the end of the shoe and the shoe is attached to the shaft by plates 64. Cement or concrete is supplied through a feed tube 68 and outlets 65 may be provided in the shaft 61.
