Addition to 327,644, [Class 68 (ii), Subaqueous buildings &c.]. [Class 68 (ii).] In the making of concrete piles, in a preparatory tube, the tube is sunk, as described in the parent Specification, by means of a monkey acting on a plug of concrete at the base of the tube ; according to the present invention, when the plug strikes a resistant mass in the soil, an accessory h, consisting of a reinforced concrete body with an iron point i, is placed on the concrete mass, and driven by a few taps of the monkey. A small quantity m of concrete is then placed above the body h, and the driving is continued, the point i passing through the concrete plug and the resistant masses, and remaining there as the pile is completed in the usual way.
