The invention of the parent Specification is modified in that a number of segmental parts are permanently united together so as to form groups of segmental parts, the radial edges at the ends of the groups being formed with sockets, and each group being also provided with sockets intermediate the ends, for the reception of securing pins. Instead of groups of separately-formed segmental parts, these parts in each group may be constituted by a single metal sheet of segmental form. In Figs. 4 and 5 a number of segmental parts e are joined together in groups, each adjacent segmental part being formed with half-lugs h which have a tubular member i disposed therebetween and joined thereto by welding. The radial edges of the segmental parts at each end of the group of parts are formed with one or two lugs k which inter-engage with lugs on adjacent groups of segmental parts. Pins m pass through the inter-engaging lugs k and through lugs p and q mounted on the flame tube walls, a, b, holes being provided in the walls a, b to permit entry of the pins. Further pins pass through the lugs h and through lugs n, o which are also secured on the flame tube walls. The groups of segmental parts may each comprise a semicircle. The fuel injectors and air swirlers are indicated at f and g respectively.
