Abstract

791,419. Baling-presses. WELGER, O., WELGER, K., and NESTLER, H. [trading as WELGER, GEB.]. May 17, 1956 [June 13, 1955], No. 15365/56. Class 94(1). In a baling-press having a reciprocating piston 6, straw is delivered to a hopper 4 by an elevator 3 and fed into the compression chamber 5 by prongs 7 which are moved in a curved path X by crank and lever-mechanism 8-10 which is disposed in the angle between the rear wall of the hopper and the elevator. The chamber 5 is of rectangular cross-section with its longer sides horizontal and the binding mechanism 11 is mounted on the cover of the chamber adjacent the front wall of the hopper 4.
